SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
· Initiated,
designed and implemented a project to define the “teamwork” concept that was
presented to the LAN Technical Services Department. Participants defined, concretized and prioritized their concepts
of the term, resulting in a cohesive, viable teamwork plan which was accepted
by all members.
· Conducted
a thorough, painstaking investigation of a repetitive server problem, devising
a plan which, upon careful analysis, revealed the origin of the problem and led
to a solution. Featured in an article
in Seagate’s newsletter for the innovative use of their tools in this project.
· Designed
and utilized a space analysis tool using a spreadsheet which delineated how and
when servers were being used, resulting in the ability to change how data was
stored - based on the on-going analysis - preventing problems due to space
limitations.
· Developed
consistency by devising a compiling JCL which took five computer languages and
transformed them into a simple 4-line JCL code which became universal among
users. This eliminated confusion,
errors and version inequities.
